		木勝 2009.7.1-8.17 @SFT GALLERY

		木勝は、木村硝子店によるグラスブランドで、インハウスデザイナーの三枝静代がデザインを手掛けたカクテルグラスシリーズです。初代社長の木村勝の名にちなんだ木勝のグラスの特徴は、その薄さと軽さ。東京下町の工場の、熟練した職人による手吹き（型吹き）とハンドカットで作られたグラスは、口に当てたときの感触が抜群です。繊細なカットは、古きよき時代のヨーロッパのアンティークグラスから学び、新しくデザインしたもの。機械生産にはない手仕事の魅力が感じられる日本の技術と、モダンなデザインが融合した、東京が世界に発信するものづくりです。今回の展示では全115種を展開。見る人それぞれの、お気に入りの組み合わせを見つけることができます。

		KIKATSU Collection from Kimura Glass KIKATSU is a collection of cocktail glasses designed by Kimura Glass in-house designer, SAEGUSA Shizuyo. These glasses, made with blowing or cutting techniques, are produced by skilled artisans in the Kimura Glass factory in downtown Tokyo, and are a fusion of traditional Japanese glass making technology and contemporary design. The glasses are so thin and light that people are often mistaken for plastic, they are however made from glass and this becomes obvious when you drink from them. The detailed designs cut in to the glasses were inspired by European antique glassware. Made in Tokyo, this collection is exported to various countries around the world. The exhibition at SFT will feature 115 different designs.

明治43年創業のガラスメーカー。業務用に焦点を絞り、ワイングラスやカクテルグラスなどの企画開発をしている。国内で展開する自社企画開発商品のグラスと切り子（カット）は、東京下町の職人の熟練した技術により製造されたもの。「普通」でありながらも使いやすく飽きのこない、身近で秀逸なデザインの商品を製作している。現在、日本を拠点にアメリカをはじめ、ヨーロッパにもマーケットを広げている。

Established in 1910, Kimura Glass started out producing wine and cocktail glasses for professional use, but now also produces collections for retail which are available around the world. Kimura Glass has their factories not only in Japan but also in Europe and other Asian countries. Simple, elegant glasses for everyday use are their specialty.

		スーベニアフロムトーキョーは宣言します。こんな内向きで不景気な今だからこそ、日々の所作を大切にしたい！と。そこで、まずはハンカチ。どこか気恥ずかしかったり、しち面倒くさかったりするハンカチの携帯。昔はしていたけれど最近は…という方も多いはずです。けれど、手を抜けることだからこそ、小さな礼儀で他人を想うこと。そして、折り目のくっきりした綺麗なハンカチを持って、折り目正しい毎日を丁寧に過ごすことから、何事も始まってゆく気がしませんか？つらい汗も鼻水も嬉しい涙も、全部ぬぐって新しい毎日へと進んでゆくために。5人のクリエイターの協力を得て、東京をテーマに、ハンカチ専門店H TOKYOとつくった15種のハンカチーフ。これらが、あなたに幸せを運ぶトーキョーのハンカチになってくれることを、私たちは切に願っています。

		Handkerchiefs from Tokyo by SFT In these very difficult times, we think it’s little things that can help make daily challenges bit easier to face. In Japan, every mother makes sure her child never leaves home without a bright, new handkerchief, a tradition that many of us as adults no longer make the time for. We think a crisp new handkerchief, with a dose of nostalgia, is just the thing to help you through the long humid summer of this difficult year. In collaboration with 5 designers and H TOKYO, a store specializing in handkerchiefs, we have made 15 new handkerchiefs with a theme of Tokyo. Text : Yoshitaka Haba (BACH)

	大図　まこと Makoto Oozu クロスステッチデザイナー

	大学卒業後、酒屋さん、手芸店勤務を経てクロスステッチデザイナーとなる。男性ならではのポップなデザインが魅力。自身のHPやイベントなどで精力的に作品を発表中。今回はチェックやストライプなどのオーソドックスなハンカチの生地にユーモアあふれるモチーフのクロスステッチを組み合わせている。近著に「ホップ・ステッチ・ジャンプ」（白夜書房）がある。

	After graduating from university, Makoto worked at a handicraft store where he became interested in and started designing patterns for cross stitch. He sells his pop art style designs via his website and designs for specific projects. For SFT he cross stiched humorous motifs on the very traditional style check and striped hankerchifs.

	師岡　とおる（more rock art all） Toru Morooka イラストレーター

	東京生まれ。武蔵野美術大学卒業後フリーに。イラストの他に、グラフィック、映像、漫画、刺繍など、スタイルにとらわれることなくアナログからデジタルまで幅広い表現方法で描く。今回は自身が持ちたいハンカチをテーマに、ビビットな色と刺繍の組み合わせで表現。

	Born in Tokyo and graduated from Musashino Art University, Toru works freelance doing illustration, analogue and digital graphics, films, manga and embroidery. For SFT he has used vivid colours and embroidery to design handkerchiefs that he himself wishes to have.

	高橋　信雅 Nobumasa Takahashi アーティスト / イラストレーター

	東京板橋のアトリエ「ばぁちゃんハウス」から世界に向けて発信するアーティスト/イラストレーター。国立新美術館を中心とした東京都心の景色を、歴史の中のエピソードに登場するさまざまな生き物や妖怪と一緒に表現し、描き下ろしたハンカチ。

	Nobumasa is an illustrator who sends his work out to the world from his atelier, Ba-chan House House, or Grandma’s House, in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo. For SFT he has drawn a map of Tokyo showing The National Art Center, Tokyo surrounded by other Tokyo buildings and scenes, characters and monsters from stories originating in the area.

	スティーブン・フロイド Stephen Floyd イラストレーター

	テキサス生まれ。2002年よりニューヨークのセレクトショップ、MOSSのディスプレーディレクターとして多くの展覧会を手がけつつ、身近なモチーフと言葉を組み合わせたドローイング作品を発表している。来日時に印象的だったもの、自身の日本へのイメージをもとに製作した。

	Originally from Texas, Stephen has worked in New York since 2002 as display director for a design store Moss. His drawings are inspired by the world around him and current events. For SFT he designed handkerchiefs inspired by his recent visit to Tokyo.

	Central Saint Martinsを卒業した朝倉充展と朝倉洋美によるクリエイティブユニット。グラフィック、フィルム、プロダクトなど幅広いジャンルで活動する中ペーパーブランドNumber 62を立ち上げる。今回はチェック、ドット、ストライプという定番のパターンをテーマにデザイン。

	Mitsunori and Hiromi Asakura who together make up the creative team Bob Foundation studied at Central St Martins College, London. Their work includes illustration, textiles, graphics, film and product design. For SFT they have designed handkerchiefs using standard dots or stripes.

世田谷公園のすぐ近くにあるメンズハンカチ専門店。生地選びから国内の職人による手巻き縫製まで細部にこだわり、素材のよさ、柄の楽しさ、手のぬくもりを感じさせるハンカチを取り揃える。「ハンカチは少年を大人にし、そして大人を少年にさせる」をコンセプトに、日々の気持ちのアクセントとなり、ほんの少し心を豊かにしてくれるようなハンカチをつくっている。

H TOKYO is a men’s handkerchief store in Setagaya, Tokyo. It selects best quality materials from around the world and its handkerchiefs are hand sewn in Japan. H TOKYO aims to make something of a quality and style that will carry a boy into his adulthood and take an adult back to his childhood.

		セツローさんは80歳のものづくりびと。その作品は、もの言わぬ者たちへの優しいまなざしにあふれています。本展では、のびやかでユーモアがあり、人を包むようにあたたかい植物画のスケッチと、玉選びや拭き漆まで一人で制作するかんざしを展示・販売。木の匙や土人形など、往年の作品展示を含め、可笑しみや、まなざしをもって生きるセツローさんのものつくりの魅力を紹介します。

		Handmade by Setsuro Ono 18th March - 20th April SFT will show a selection of work by artist and craftsman, Setsuro Ono. Setsuro's books contain his simple and humorous sketches of everyday objects and detail some of the processes behind his work which is all hand made. We will also show a selection of his work such as wooden spoons, clay figurines and lacquered hairpins decorated with antique glass beads. It is said that the gentle touch Ono gives his work is what makes him so popular.

	小野セツロー

	1929年岡山県生まれ。洋画家。愛媛県松山市在住。自らの美のものさしで、かんざし、匙、土人形を制作。愛情あふれる作品には若い世代を中心に人気がある。 2005年　手の仕事の魅力を伝えた『セツローさん』(祥見知生著ラトルズ) 2006年『セツローさんのスケッチブック』(ラトルズ) 2007年　初めての作品集『セツローのものつくり』(アノニマ・スタジオ)が刊行された。

	etsuro was born in 1929 in Okayama and now pursues his career in arts and crafts from his base in Matsuyama-shi, Ehime. He has just published his third book detailing a selection of his work to date. 		FRAMES Shigeki Fujishiro 2009.1.14-3.16 @SFT GALLERY

		「モビール」は、キネティック・アートという新しい美術表現の一環として生まれました。これは作品に動きを与えることで、空間と時間の双方による表現を目指すもので、マルセル・デュシャンやアレキサンダー・カルダーによって生みだされました。この「フレームス」は、それらの作品に大きな影響を受けていますが、よりグラフィカルに表現されています。透明の糸により、あたかも浮いているかのように見えるのが特徴で、照明によって映し出される影を空間演出として楽しむことも出来ます。この展覧会のために特別につくられた5点のモビール作品を展示、数量限定販売します。

		The Mobile first appeared in the art world as part of the new artistic concept of Kinetic Art. Artists such as Marcel Duchamp and Alexander Calder expressed ideas of both space and time through the movement of their mobiles. The Frames designed by Fujishiro are heavily influenced by the works of such artists but exhibit a more graphical touch. With the use of transparant strings, the frames appear to be floating and cast interesting and ever changing shadows around them. For the exhibition at SFT Gallery, Fujishiro has made 5 special limited edition mobiles.

	藤城成貴　Shigeki Fujishiro

	1974年東京生まれ。和光大学経済学部卒業後、桑沢デザイン研究所夜間部を卒業。1998年より株式会社イデーに入社。定番商品及び、特注家具をデザインする。2005年に退社し、shigeki fujishiro designとして個人でデザイン活動を行っている。

	Born in 1974, Tokyo.Graduated from Wako University with a BA in economics.Graduated from Kuwasawa Design School.Worked for IDEE from 1998 as a furniture designer for IDEE's own line.Left IDEE in 2005 to open his own studio, Shigeki Fujishiro Design .

		お茶碗以上、丼ぶり未満　宣言スーベニアフロムトーキョーは宣言します。21世紀のいま、本当に必要な器は「お茶碗以上、丼ぶり未満」の器だと。日本での器の歴史を鑑みると、茶碗という器は作品としての美しさを追求するためのもの。そして、丼ぶりという器は丈夫さと素の実用を求めるものでした。だけれども、2008年に東京で暮らす私たちが本当に必要な食器は、美しくも毎日美味しく使える器たち。そんなに何品ものレシピィをつくらない（つくれないではありませんよ！）台所仕事をする私たちが、一番重宝するサイズ感。それを陶芸界の次世代を担う6人の作家が、それぞれの美意識にこだわって丁寧につくりました。毎日使うものだから、自分が最も美しいと思えるものを、なるだけ長く愛用してゆく付き合い方で。さあ、そんな「お茶碗以上、丼ぶり未満」の器を使って、今日もほっかほかの美味しゴハンをいただきましょう。

		The perfect bowl SFT believes that nowadays, an ideal bowl lies somewhere between a tea cup and donburi bowl. Traditionally the tea cup has been something that is small and highly decorative, while the humble donburi bowl has always been larger and something more for everyday use. It seems that now, an in between size and decorative bowl is the order of the day.Today we tend to make fewer dishes than previous generations(by choice!), so fewer bowls which hold a little more quantity, make for todays perfect bowl. With this concept, 6 ceramic artists have made bowls for this exhibition. The pieces are intended for everyday use and we hope you will find your ideal bowl.


		Yumiko Iihoshi
		京都嵯峨芸術大学短大陶芸科卒業後、「手づくりとプロダクトの境界にある作品」作りをコンセプトとし、yumiko iihoshi porcelainの名前で手作りとプロダクトの作品を発表している。 Since graduating the Kyoto Saga Junior Collage of Ceramic Art, Yumiko has concentrated on work that lies on the boundry of handmade and mass produced under the name Yumiko Iihoshi Porcelain.For this project her pieces are handmade.

		Kyoko Hitotsuyanagi
		1959年生まれ。1982年武蔵野美術大学造形学部工芸工業デザイン学科陶磁専攻卒業後、スウェーデン、ドイツ、アメリカなど、さまざまな国に居住し、各国の陶土や焼き方を取り入れ、独自の世界感を確立。現在は東京にて活動中。 Born in 1959, Kyoko graduated in Industry, Interiors and Craft from the Musashino Art University. Following this she has lived in Sweden, Germany and the USA studying the different types of clay from each country and the best ways of using them. She now lives and works in Tokyo.

		YENWARE
		1996年より、中村善郎（Yen Design）のデザインを基に、民芸運動の流れを汲む熊本小代焼きの瑞穂窯、福田るいにより作陶。collex living（東京）、Tortoise（LA）などで展示会。 Started in 1996, Yen Ware is designed by Yoshiro Nakamura of Yen Design, and made by Rui Fukuda of Mizuho Kiln which makes Shodai-yaki, traditional craft in Kumamoto prefecture under the influence of the Mingei-movement. They have shown their work at Collex Living, Tokyo and Tortoise LA.

		Yaku Murakami
		1967年生まれ。武蔵野美術大学短期大学部専攻科工芸デザインコース卒業。桃居（西麻布）、うつわ楓（南青山）日々（銀座）などでの個展のほか、グループ展等多数出展している。 Born in 1967, Yaku graduated in Craft Design from the Musashino Art University. He has had solo shows at galleries Toukyo, Utsuwa Kaede, Nichi-nichi and has participated in many group exhibitions.

		Ema Hirokawa
		1979年高知県生まれ。沖縄県立芸術大学陶芸コース卒業後、岐阜県多治見市陶磁意匠研究所。2006 年香北町に移住、小野哲平氏に師事。現在、香北町で活動中。 Born in 1979, after graduating in Ceramic arts at the Okinawa Prefectural University, Ema has studied at Tajimi City Pottery Design and Technical Centre. Currently she is apprentice to the famous ceramic artist Teppei Ono.

		Takuya Yokoyama
		1973年神奈川県生まれ立教大学社会学部卒業後、岐阜県多治見市陶磁意匠研究所を経て現在多治見の「studio MAVO」にて作陶中。 Born in Kanagawa in 1973, Takuya has graduated in Sociology from Rikkyo University,following which he has studied at Tajimi City Pottery Design and Technical Centre in Gifu Prefecture. He now works from Studio MAVO.


「お茶碗以上、丼ぶり未満」では器の展示とあわせて、雑誌「Grazia」との連動企画で、出展作品にお料理を盛り付けたパネルを展示。東京・下北沢で野菜料理店「七草」を営む料理家前沢リカさんによる料理、数々の雑誌で活躍するインテリアスタイリスト作原文子さんによるスタイリング、カメラマン米谷享さんによる写真のパネルにて展示しています。

In collaboration　with the magazine, "Grazia", well known interior stylist, Fumiko　Sakuhara, Rika Maezawa, cookery expert and owner of vegetarian restaurant, "NANAKUSA" has designed the ideal cuisine for each bowl. Together with the bowls, photos of the culinary creations by Toru Kometani, will be on display.

		WASARA こころを潤す紙のうつわ 2008.9.3-10.20 @SFT GALLERY

		日本には、優れた技術に裏付けられたものづくりの伝統があり、世界有数の洗練された食文化があり、もてなしや礼儀を大切にする精神があります。 ―単純な形の連続によるデザイン、高いものづくりの技術から生まれる、テクスチャーや心地よい緊張感、佇まい。ディテールへの強いこだわり。限りある資源をいかす自然との関係性。非木材であり、土に還る素材、葦と竹、バガス（さとうきびの搾りかす）を原料とする紙の器、WASARAには随所にそうした細やかな日本の感性が息づいています。たった一度しか使われない「使い捨て」の過程の中に、こころを潤すもてなしの時間を感じることができるはずです。

		WASARA is a collection of disposable paper tableware with a form and texture that make for a pleasing aesthetic experience. Japan has a reputation for quality craft techniques, it is famed for its spirit of hospitality and courtesy, and has one of the most refined food cultures in the world which includes selecting tableware best suited to each ingredient or cuisine. The underlying concept for the WASARA collection comes from the Japanese aesthetic for detail, simple shapes, repetitive motifs, reassuring textures, a careful use of resources and high quality materials employed in a way that accentuates their beauty. The collection is made of biodegradable paper made from sustainable reeds and bagasse, the waste material from the production of sugarcane juice, rather than from wood pulp.

緒方慎一郎 Shinichiro Ogata

クリエイティブディレクター / Creative Director
長崎県生まれ。98年「現代の日本の文化創造」をコンセプトに（株）SIMPLICITYを設立。同年、和食レストランHIGASHI-YAMA Tokyo（目黒区東山）をオープン。 03年に和菓子屋HIGASHIYA（目黒区青葉台）をオープンし、同年プロダクト・ブランドSゝゝ（Simplicity Super Studio）を設立。05年に和菓子のギフトショップori HIGASHIYA（港区西麻布）、07年にまんじゅう屋HIGASHIYA man（港区南青山）をオープン。自社のコンセプチュアルな事業を通じて、建築・インテリア・プロダクト・グラフィックデザインなど多岐にわたってデザイン活動を行っている。06年よりWASARAのデザイン・開発を手掛ける。

Shinichiro Ogata, originally from Nagasaki, started his company, Simplicity, in 1998 with the goal of creating a new, modern Japanese culture. In Simplicity’s first year, Ogata opened the highly successful HIGASHI-YAMA restaurant, followed in 2003 by HIGASHIYA tea and Japanese sweet shop and the launch of his brand Simplicity Super Studio. Since then, he has been involved in various projects, including the opening of two HIGASHIYA teashops in Tokyo. In 2006 he became involved with WASARA.

田辺三千代 Michiyo Tanabe

プロデューサー / Producer
静岡県生まれ。東京文化服装学院デザイン科卒業。パリ遊学後、アパレルプレスを経て、84年（株）ワールドにてTAKEO KIKUCHIブランドのプレスチーフとなる。91年に独立し、スタイリスト、カメラマンのレップオフィス M16を設立。96年にはM16のメンズブランドを開始。02年M16を退き（株）JUNの広報ディレクター就任。99年より山梨県西湖で自らCAFÉ M （河口湖町西湖）を立ち上げ・経営した経緯から、カフェラウンジmontoak（渋谷区神宮前）のPRディレクターを兼任。06年WASARAブランドのプロデュースを手掛ける。

After studying fashion in Tokyo and Paris, Michiyo Tanabe became press officer for WORLD CO., LTD. fashion brand, "TAKEO KIKUCHI". In 1991, she set up her own office M16, representing stylists and photographers. In 1996 she also started a men's fashion brand under the same name M16. In 2002 she left M16 to become public relations director for JUN and is currently PR director for "montoak". Since 2006, she has been involved with WASARA.

		2008.7.2 - 9.1 @SFT GALLERY SHIMIZU HISAKAZU EXHIBITION アイスベキモノタチ

		私たちの身の周りに溢れている無数の「モノ」たち。普段から親しまれている身近なモノ。私たちの記憶のどこか遠くへと置いてきてしまったモノ。清水久和は、それらの材質を置き換え、新たなかたちを提示し、また、圧倒的なまでのクオリティで作品をつくりあげます。その作品は、私たちにモノとの想い出をよみがえらせると共に、モノの美しさを改めて意識させてくれます。そして、私たちの「愛すべきモノたち」には、永遠の生命が吹き込まれていくのです。今回はチューチューアイスやアイスクリームスプーンなどから生まれた作品を展示します。

		SFT will show the Chew Chew Shade by Shimizu Hisakazu made from popsicles. People are surrounded by things both ordinary and special and many such familiar things live in the depths of our memories. Using such object, Shimizu looks to provoke and share memories and breathe new life into one of those things we have all loved, bringing a new consciousness of its simple beauty.

清水久和
SHIMIZU HISAKAZU

インダストリアルデザイナー清水久和は、キヤノン株式会社において「Canon IXY DIGITAL」シリーズなど多くの商品のデザインを手掛ける一方、「SABO STUDIO」として独自のデザイン観を表現する活動を続けています。

As an employee of CANON, Shimizu has pushed the boundaries of industrial design with his involvement on a number of their most successful product lines such as the Canon IXY（IXUS, ELPH）. In addition to his work with CANON, Shimizu continues his own design work under the name SABO STUDIO.

		ダイナミックに　コミカルに　七転八倒。レスリングパンツを身に纏い、リングの上で技を掛け合う、色鮮やかなボディのレスラーたち。四角い画面には収まりきらず、立体になって飛び跳ねる！

		格闘技を愛してやまない新木友行は、色鉛筆のドローイングとコンピュータ・グラフィックスによる作品を制作。黒の繊細なラインが、無骨なレスラーたちの隆々とした筋肉の動きを的確に捉え、大胆にデフォルメされた技の数々は躍動感に溢れています。勝敗を超えた魅せる試合を仕上げる彼は、最高のセコンドであり、観客なのです。今回の展示では、絵画作品に加え、立体の大型プロレスマンも登場します。そのダイナミックなタッグマッチをぜひ体感してください。

		PURORESUMAN － Professional Wrestling Man Tomoyuki Shinki, an avid martial arts fan, creates coloured pencil drawings and digitally generated images depicting the intertwined, muscular bodies of wrestlers. His almost grotesque illustrations convey the wreslers' passion and energy. Even when caught in an inescapable hold with features twisted in pain they retain a certain sense of comedy. Shinki's interest in the sport which obviously transcends a mere interest in victory or loss makes him both the perfect audience and coach. SFT Gallery will show Shinki's drawings, paintings and will introduce the first three dimensional, life size professional wrestling man.

アトリエインカーブ所属。1982年生まれ。2005年 NY アウトサイダー・アート・フェアで作品発表。以降毎年アート・フェアに出品。ニューヨークのギャラリーでも作品展示され、今年1月にはサントリーミュージアム[天保山]にて展覧会が開催されるなど国内外で活躍中。

Born in 1982. As an artist of Atelier incurve, Shinki has first shown his work at the 2005 New York Outsider Art Fair (a fair for artists who have no formal training in the arts) and has since continued to exhibit both domestically and internationally.

2002年社会福祉法人素王会アトリエインカーブ設立。知的に障がいがあるひとの中には、芸術的才能を授かったひとがいます。しかし彼らはひっそりと人知れず創作に身を傾けていることが多いため、社会が彼らの生み出したものに出逢える機会はほとんどありません。アトリエインカーブでは、彼らの作品をふさわしい場所で発表・発信し、彼らがアーティストとして独立することを目指しています。

Atelier incurve, an art studio set up in 2002 is funded by the Japanese government to help mentally disabled people in Japan who show artistic talent. Many disabled people show talent in the arts but there is very little opportunity for them to gain exposure for their work. Atelier incurve introduces the work of its artists into various environments with the aim that eventually they can become independent artists.

		2007年3月25日能登半島沖に発生した地震によって、豊かな自然の中で長い年月をかけて培われた輪島の漆や酒造りの文化、産業は大きなダメージを受けました。 WAJIMA×Kakitsubataは、国内外のさまざまなものづくりの文化や技術を紹介している「カキツバタ」がプロデュースし、日本古来の技術と若いデザイナーによる取り組みを通じて輪島の産業復興のサポートを目的としたプロジェクトです。
		Wajima is a city located in Ishikawa prefecture, the north part of the Noto peninsula, facing the Sea of Japan. On 25 March 2007, a severe earthquake caused serious damage to Wajima and its industries. Kakitsubata, a store and gallery in Tokyo working with numerous designers have produced the project Wajima x Kakitsubata, to help reconstruct and support the traditional industries in the area, Wajima-nuri (Japanese lacquer), and Sake brewing. Kakitsubata have co-ordinated the collaboration of 4 contemporary designers and 4 Wajima craftsmen to produce beautiful, elegant sake cups and tableware for everyday use.

漆 URUSHI （Japanese Lacquer）
テーブルウェアをテーマに、４組のデザイナーと４組の輪島漆器製作者によりつくられた漆器作品は、伝統工芸品という既存の漆器のイメージにとどまらず、「食卓の上で日常的に使えるものこそ美しく」という思いをこめた若いデザイナーと職人たちのアプローチによって、漆の持つ美しさや魅力を身近に感じることができるプロダクトです。
Urushi (Japanese Lacquer) is made from the sap of the Urushi tree, many coats of lacquer are used to create highly durable and beautiful items capable of lasting many centuries. Wajima is famous for its own Urushi called "Wajima-nuri"; made by expert craftsmen and totally by hand, it has earned a reputation as the best quality Lacquer in Japan.

酒 SAKE
能登半島の豊かな自然に育まれた地元の米、水、麹でじっくりと醸す酒造りもまた、地震によって蔵が崩れて酒が流出するほどの大きな被害を受けました。現在も全蔵元をあげて復興をめざしている中、漆の酒器と一緒に楽しめる輪島の酒もあわせて展示します。（会期中は販売いたしません。申し込み用紙のご用意のみとさせていただきます。）
The Noto Peninsula is famous for Japanese Sake (rice wine). Made from only the best quality Rice, Water and Malt, their brewing techniques have been handed down from generation to generation. The damage to the traditional Sake breweries due to the earthquake far exceeded anyone's imagination - the warehouses collapsed, and the sake flowed away. The aim of the Sake breweries and this project is to revive the industry and preserve the quality of their Sake. SFT do not have a license to sell Sake but interested customers may place orders.

		真夜中の出来事。子供たちがすやすやと眠っているところに、おとうさん、おかあさん、おじいちゃん、はたまた近所のいたずらっ子まで、へんてこニット家おばけとなって現れた！
		At midnight when most little boys and girls are fast asleep, mother, father, grandfather and a few mischievous youngsters come out to play with the Knit House.

		ファッションデザイナー山縣良和とニットアーティスト mafuyuによるコラボレーション作品。ニットで出来た家は、ファッション、アート、プロダクトデザインの三方向から体感できるように、「家着」として着用可能。飾りにも子供の遊び道具にもなる、不思議で楽しいホームウェアです。家をモチーフに、家の中での家族間の新しいコミュニケーションツールとしての提案になります。 2007年6月、オランダのアーネム・モード・ビエンナーレ（Arnhem Mode Biennale 2007）に出展後、日本では、はじめての展示です。
		My Town in My Home is a collaborative exhibition by fashion designer Yoshikazu Yamagata and knitting artist Mafuyu. With fashion, art and product design in mind, they have created ‘home wear’, a collection of decorative pieces which can also be fun for the kids. The collection was first shown at the 2007 Arnhem Mode Biennale and is now presented in Japan for the first time.

2005年セントラル・セントマーティンズ美術学校ウィメンズウェア学科卒業。インターナショナルコンペティション『its#3』3部門受賞。ジョン・ガリアーノにてデザインアシスタントを務めた後、帰国。2007年4月、玉井健太郎と株式会社リトゥンアフターワーズを設立。現在、同ブランドデザイナーとしても活躍中。
Yamagata studied women’s wear at Central St. Martins school of Fine Arts. He received prizes in 3 categories of the international competition its#3. After working as assistant to John Galliano, he returned to Japan and started his own company, writtenafterwards, together with Kentaro Tamai.

2002年女子美術大学絵画科洋画専攻卒業。筆から編み棒へ持ち替えて、触れることのできる作品を意識した、ニット作品の創作活動へ。現在は個展を中心に、ショップでの販売や雑誌『装苑』への作品提供をするほか、「LANVIN en Bleu」のウインドウディスプレイを手掛けるなど、活躍中。
After graduating from the Joshibi University of Art and Design, in Oil Painting, Mafuyu exchanged her brush for the knitting needle, in order to create more tactile rather than two dimensional artworks to be seen and not touched. She now focus’s on solo exhibitions and commissions from various magazines and retailers.

		陶磁器を主な素材としてデザインやアート、ファッションの領域を自由に行き来する2人組のユニット、ON ZA LINEの作品を展示します。このエキシビションは、最新作の「POESY」シリーズと、身の回りのさまざまな既存の物からアルファベットの型をとって作られた、「SIMPLE MOLD」シリーズで構成されます。彼女たちの自由な発想と陶磁器という素材から生み出される瑞々しい世界を、ぜひご覧ください。
		Ai Kurahashi and Kiyomi Kodama make up the design team ON ZA LINE, they work predominantly with ceramics in the fields of design, art and fashion. The current exhibition shows their latest series of work 'Poesy', a collection of ceramic words taken from a poem made into accessories, this is a progression from a previous collection 'Simple Mold' featuring letters of the alphabet in different fonts taken from everyday items around them.

		例えば、歌には歌詞とメロディがあります。歌をうたう時、本当にそのメロディにはその歌詞でなくてはいけないのでしょうか。別にその言葉じゃなくてもいいような気もします。でも言葉とメロディが一緒になると、とても強く何かが伝わる気もします。メロディに歌詞をつけるように、いつも身に付けるものや使うものに言葉をのせることができたら素敵です。メロディと言葉の、曖昧だけど強い関係に憧れて、テーマを「Poesy」としました。作品に使われている言葉はON ZA LINE/倉橋が高校の卒業文集に寄せた詩の断片です。
		Lyrics and music separately can be effecting but when brought together they can be much more powerful. By the same concept ON ZA LINE wanted to take fragments of a poem Kurahashi had written long ago and keep the sentiments voiced in the poem close to them by making them something they could wear. In Japan, upon graduation from high school pupils are required to write a poem about their time at high school or their future which is published as a remembrence of their time at school. It is from the poem written for this purpose by Kurahashi when she graduated that the fragments used in 'Poesy' are taken so the accessories provoke people to remember their own poem inspiring many different sentiments.

小玉清美と倉橋愛の二人組。2005年に最初の作品群”She needs a treasure”を発表。陶磁器を主な素材としてデザインやアート、ファッションの領域を自由に行き来する作品は立案から完成まで二人きりで制作されている。情熱の維持を理由に作品のほとんどは５０点までしか作らない。名前の由来は英語のon the line（＝ぎりぎりの、境界線上の）から。
ON ZA LINE design teams work starts with no specific definition of what each item will become, an attitude which has so far resulted in a selection of rings, necklaces, cups and chandeliers. Each item is carefully hand-made, a lengthy process which requires that each item be limited to an edition of 50. They enjoy the reaction people have to their work and try to instill in each item what they see as the true essences of life, moods, sentiments, passion, atmosphere and time.



		1997年以来、装飾というテーマで常識にとらわれずアート、デザイン、モード、芸術理論といったさまざまなアプローチで国際的プロジェクトを手がける、ドイツのシュムック２による展覧会。「XS-extra small」は、小さな装飾品やオブジェのことを意味し、ブレス（ドイツ/フランス）、マノン・ファン・コースウェイク（オランダ）、フローリアン・ラッチチェーター（オーストリア）などモードやアートの分野で活躍するアーティストの小さな装飾品が、マルティ・ギゼ（スペイン）によって路上マーケットのように構成されます。アーティストたちそれぞれの思いが込められた、「ちいさなもの」たちをぜひご覧ください。

		Since 1997 Schmuck2 have presented jewellery exhibitions focusing on art, design and fashion all around the world. The XS-extra small exhibition, curated by Schmuck2, shows small objects and jewellery by Bless, from Germany / France, Manon van Kouswijk from Holland and Florian Ladstatter from Austria in a Top Manta setting designed by Marti Guixe from Spain. The work of the 3 artists is inspired by the objects found in everyday life and is shown using Guixe’s Top Manta system which legitimises the way of showing counterfeit products sold on pavements worldwide.

Marti Guixe マルティ・ギゼ (Spain / スペイン)
マルティ・ギゼの「モノ」に対する非凡な視点は、シンプルでありながら見事なアイデアを生み出します。「Top Manta」はスペイン語で、路上で模造品や海賊版ＣＤ・ＤＶＤといった違法な物品を売るときに下に敷く布を意味しますが、ギゼはこれをプレゼンテーションと販売の一つの合法的な手段へと発展させました。広げた布の上に作品を並べていくという「トップ・マンタ・システム」の展示法によって、ガラスケースの中では失われてしまうXSサイズの作品が持つさまざまな意味が表現されています。
Top Manta is a Spanish term which refers to the selling of illegal counterfeit products displayed on a blanket layed out over the pavement. The two crossed strings over the top of the blanket allow the seller to wrap up everything quickly should they spot the police coming － Guixe transforms this into a legimate solution for retail display.

Florian Ladstatter’s work relies on the beauty and aesthetics of the materials he works with, creating jewellery which falls somewhere between art and fashion.


		展示スペース約14000m2と、国内最大級の規模で六本木に開館した「国立新美術館」。黒川紀章氏の設計による建物や、佐藤可士和氏がデザインを手がけたロゴタイプなど、何かと話題の多い同館地下１階に、ミュージアムショップ「スーベニアフロムトーキョー」がオープンしました。あらゆるものが渾然一体となる都市「トーキョー」にふさわしく、時代、知名度、国籍、ジャンルにこだわらずに選りすぐったデザイングッズやアートが手に入ります。さらに４月25日、同店内に「SFT GALLERY」がオープン。オープン企画は、「FROM TOKYO」と題し、雑誌「TITLE」や「UT（ユニクロによるＴシャツ専門ブランド）」とのコラボで、小町渉、ササキタクジ、Ryu Itadaniをはじめとする20組のクリエーターによるポストカード計100タイプと、5タイプのTシャツを展示・販売します。
