CIBONE CASE(銀座)で2回目となる板橋亨の個展を開催いたします。
本展示では代表作である結晶釉の「雪の華」をはじめ、プラチナ彩を施した新作を含む約300点の作品が並びます。

永遠の象徴とされるプラチナ。
その静寂な光と結晶の重なりから生まれる表現には、銀世界の中で春の光を待つ、変わらない郷里の心象風景が映し出されているのかもしれません。
これまで長年、結晶釉の制作において、目には見えない炎の動きや温度の変化といった窯の中で起きる自然現象と対峙しながら、最も美しく結晶が器に咲く過程を追求してきました。今回発表するプラチナ彩の作品は、これまでの経験を礎としながらも偶然性に委ねるだけではなく、結晶と光の表現に、自らの意志を重ねる新章のはじまりを予感させます。

自然物を相手に、作家としての手仕事を調和させていく試みは、素材が持つ特徴や環境などの些細な変化を、敏感に捉える技術と想像力が求められます。
ひとつとして同じものがない無二の美しさは、作品と向き合う終わりなき創作欲の源となり、雪国に身を置いて暮らしてきたからこそ、身近な風景の中で培われた感受性や本能的な美意識が合わさることで、自身の新たな表現に繋がっているように感じられます。
澄んだ白磁の中に移ろいゆく結晶の現象を受け入れながらも、不変の輝きを留めるプラチナの光。
その二つが重なり、ひとつの景色となった器を、ぜひお手に取ってご覧ください。

CIBONE CASE (Ginza) is pleased to present the second solo exhibition by Toru Itabashi.
This exhibition features approximately 300 works, including his representative crystalline glaze series “Snow Blossoms” and new pieces adorned with platinum accents.

Platinum, symbolizing eternity.
The expressions born from its tranquil light and layered crystals may reflect the unchanging mental landscape of a hometown, waiting for spring's light within a silver world.
For many years, in creating crystalline glazes, he has confronted the natural phenomena within the kiln—the invisible movement of flames and shifts in temperature—pursuing the process where crystals bloom most beautifully upon the vessel. The platinum-decorated works presented here, while building upon his accumulated experience, suggest the beginning of a new chapter. They hint at an artist's deliberate intent layered upon the expression of crystals and light, moving beyond reliance solely on chance.

Working with natural elements requires harmonizing the artisan's craft with the subtle shifts in material properties and environment, demanding both technical sensitivity and imaginative insight.
The unique beauty of each piece, never duplicated, fuels an endless creative drive. Living amidst snow-covered landscapes has cultivated a sensitivity and instinctive aesthetic sense within me, which now converges to form new expressions.
The light of platinum, accepting the transient crystalline phenomena within the clear white porcelain while retaining an unchanging brilliance.
