4月17日（金）よりイタリアのデザインデュオ alcarol（アルカロール）による、宇宙をテーマにした「Geomorphic Collection」のエキシビションをCIBONE(表参道)にて開催いたします。

イタリアの豊かな自然に囲まれた地で活動するalcarol。
休日には愛犬とともに山へ分け入り、見つけた素材を自らの手で持ち帰り、創作へと昇華させる。文字通り地に足のついたその営みから彼らの関心は、足元の大地だけではなく、よりスケールの大きな宇宙へと拡張している。

私たちの頭上に常に浮かぶ星々に着想を得て、「Uranus」「Moon」「Venus」「Mars」と名付けられた4体のテーブル。それらは、まるで地球外の物質を思わせる神秘的な色彩と質感を宿している。
しかし実際には、自然の中で特異な成長を遂げた希少な木材に、鉄分を含む酸性オイルを浸透させ、酸化させることで生まれたものである。

天体望遠鏡を覗いてもなお手の届かない、未知の惑星の地表を想起させるその佇まい。そこに宿る壮大なロマンは、私たちが生き、慈しむべきこの地球の自然と確かにつながっている。

さらに本展では、近年、宇宙をはじめとする未知なる存在への関心を軸に活動するYOSHIROTTEN率いるYARが、ビジュアル、映像、音響、そして空間構成を手がける。作品と呼応するその体験は、視覚的理解を超え、鑑賞者をより深いさらなる没入へと導くことになる。

alcarol | アルカロール: alcarolはイタリアベニスと世界遺産であるドロミテ山との間を拠点として活動しているデザインデュオです。AndreaはIUAV建築学校を卒業後、デザイナー、プロトタイピストとして多くの建築、家具デザインに携わり、パートナーのEleonoraはAcademy of fine artを卒業後、多数のアーティストの展示会を手掛けるなど、多岐に渡る活動をしてきたのち2013年に自身のブランドを立ち上げました。
単に切ってヤスリがけをした木をプロダクトの材料として使うのではなく、自身の活動フィールドや、その素材のある環境をプロダクトの中に取り入れ“自然の美しさを伝える為のデザイン”を目指しています。

YOSHIROTTEN | ヨシロットン: 1983年生まれ、アーティスト。
YOSHIROTTENの創作の根底には、「未知なるもの」への尽きせぬ関心が横たわっている。自然とテクノロジーの双方に対する直感的な感受性を背景に、光と物質、霊性と実証、古代と未来といった概念が溶け合い、共存する世界観を描きます。近年は、色彩や地球、太陽など根源的な存在のリサーチや仮説を元に、S.F.的な視覚言語を探究するシリーズを発表しています。
主な個展には〈FUTURE NATURE〉（2018年、TOLOT heuristic SHINONOME）、〈SUN〉（2023年、国立競技場・大型車駐車場）、〈Radial Graphics Bio / 拡張するグラフィック〉（2024年、ギンザ・グラフィック・ギャラリー）、〈FUTURE NATURE II In Kagoshima〉（2024年、鹿児島県霧島アートの森）など。

YAR | ヤール: YAR（ヤール）は、MODERN、POP、FUTURISTICをテーマに、東京を拠点として活動するデザイン・スタジオです。
YARには15名のクリエイターが在籍し、アートディレクション、グラフィック・デザイン、3DCG、映像、空間演出、ウェブなど多岐にわたるコンテンツのデザインを、国内外問わず手がけています。

CIBONE’s top buyers will provide commentary on the artworks and the exhibition’s space design.

alcarol operates in a region surrounded by Italy’s rich natural beauty.
On their days off, they venture into the mountains with their beloved dog, gathering materials they find and bringing them back to transform into their creations. Through this literally down-to-earth practice, their focus extends not only to the earth beneath their feet but also to the vastness of the cosmos.

Inspired by the stars that constantly shine above us, these four tables are named ＜Uranus＞, ＜Moon＞, ＜Venus＞, and ＜Mars＞. They possess mysterious colors and textures that evoke extraterrestrial materials.
In reality, however, they are created by saturating rare wood—grown under unique conditions in nature—with an iron-rich acidic oil and allowing it to oxidize.

Their appearance evokes the surfaces of unknown planets, beyond the reach even of a telescope. The grand romance inherent in them is deeply connected to the nature of this Earth, which we inhabit and cherish.

Furthermore, for this exhibition, YAR—led by YOSHIROTTEN, whose recent work centers on an interest in the unknown, including the cosmos—is responsible for the visuals, video, sound, and spatial design. This experience, which resonates with the artwork, transcends visual understanding and guides viewers into a deeper, more immersive experience.

alcarol: alcarol is a design duo based between Venice, Italy, and the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After graduating from the IUAV School of Architecture, Andrea has worked on numerous architectural and furniture design projects as a designer and prototyper. His partner, Eleonora, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and, after engaging in a wide range of activities—including curating exhibitions for numerous artists—launched her own brand in 2013.
Rather than simply using wood that has been cut and sanded as a material for their products, they aim to incorporate their own fields of activity and the environments where the materials are found into their designs, striving for “design that conveys the beauty of nature.”

YOSHIROTTEN: Born in 1983, artist.
At the core of YOSHIROTTEN’s creative practice lies an insatiable curiosity about the “unknown.” Drawing on an intuitive sensitivity to both nature and technology, he depicts a worldview where concepts such as light and matter, spirituality and empiricism, and the ancient and the future blend and coexist. In recent years, he has presented a series exploring a science-fiction-like visual language based on research and hypotheses regarding fundamental entities such as color, the Earth, and the sun.
Major solo exhibitions include 〈FUTURE NATURE〉 (2018, TOLOT heuristic SHINONOME), 〈SUN〉 (2023, National Stadium Large Vehicle Parking Lot), 〈Radial Graphics Bio / Expanding Graphics〉 (2024, Ginza Graphic Gallery), and 〈FUTURE NATURE II In Kagoshima〉 (2024, Kirishima Art Forest, Kagoshima Prefecture).

YAR: YAR is a Tokyo-based design studio focused on the themes of MODERN, POP, and FUTURISTIC.
YAR is home to 15 creators who handle a wide range of design projects—including art direction, graphic design, 3D CG, video, spatial design, and web—both domestically and internationally.
In addition to commissioned work, the studio frequently engages in independent projects and has held exhibitions in Tokyo, London, Berlin, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and other cities.
