4月18日(土)より、CIBONE CASE(銀座)にて3つのガラスジュエリーブランドによるグループPOP UPを開催いたします。

同じガラスという素材でありながら、その技法によって多様な表情を生み出す3ブランド。

shisui(シスイ)は、水という流動的な存在をバーナーワークによって定着させる試みを行う。
Gleichenia(グレイキニア)は、彫刻および空間的な思考を背景に、パート・ド・ヴェールの技法を用いてガラスを構成する。
LULI LAMPWORK(ルリ ランプワーク)は、とんぼ玉の技法を通して、撚り合わされた色彩の層を線的に立ち上げる。

いずれも同一の素材に向き合いながら、有機的に形を変え続けるガラスという物質への解釈をそれぞれのかたちで表現しています。
本展では、ガラスに内在する性質がもたらす変容と、それに応答する作家の態度のあいだに立ち現れる美しさを、身につけるかたちとして提示します。

Gleichenia | グレイキニア

イギリスで彫刻を学んだ池ヶ谷香奈子と、空間デザインを学んだ池ヶ谷侑による東京を拠点に活動するコンテンポラリージュエリーユニット。
Gleichenia (グレイキニア) とは、シダ植物の一種である縁起物のウラジロの学名に由来します。
対になった葉のかたちを、アートとデザインの視点が重なる表現と捉え、新たな物語を紡いでいくことを想像しています。
胞子が新たな土地で芽吹き、生命を育むように——出自や価値観にとらわれない生き方に寄り添う表現を探求。
伝統的な枠を超え、多様な素材と技法で実験的なアプローチを試み、ジュエリーの新しい可能性を追求しています。

LULI LAMPWORK | ルリ ランプワーク

2018年にベルリンで設立されたデザインスタジオ EETY studio による、とんぼ玉のジュエリー。
1人の職人と2人のデザイナーの手によって、古来より変わらないとんぼ玉の製造技法を用い、すべて手作業で制作されています。
ガラスをテキスタイルとして捉え、「溶かしたガラスを棒に巻き取り玉にする」というシンプルな製法をもとに、何色ものガラスを糸のように撚り合わせて巻き付け、その軌跡を文様として表現しています。
LULI＝瑠璃は日本の古語で、色ガラスや宝玉を意味します。

Glass Jewelry Collection

Starting Saturday, April 18, we will be hosting a group pop-up featuring three glass jewelry brands at CIBONE CASE (Ginza).

Though all three brands work with the same material—glass—their distinct techniques give rise to a diverse range of expressions.

shisui attempts to capture the fluid nature of water through flame-working.
Gleichenia constructs glass using the pâte de verre technique, drawing on a background in sculpture and spatial thinking.
LULI LAMPWORK uses the glass bead technique to create linear arrangements of intertwined layers of color.

While all three artists engage with the same material, they each present their own interpretation of glass—a substance that continuously transforms organically—through their distinct forms.
This exhibition presents the beauty that emerges from the interplay between the transformations brought about by the inherent properties of glass and the artists’ responses to them, in the form of wearable pieces.

Giving form to the various aspects of water through different materials such as glass and metal.
Water, as it changes form, is connected to our lives, ways of thinking, ideas, emotions, and their expressions. Born from water and returning to water. Water is within us, and water surrounds us. Piecing together the story of water—an existence that cycles endlessly yet remains unchanged.

Gleichenia

A Tokyo-based contemporary jewelry unit formed by Kanako Ikegaya, who studied sculpture in the UK, and Yū Ikegaya, who studied spatial design.
The name Gleichenia derives from the scientific name of the fern species “Urajiro,” a plant considered a symbol of good fortune.
We envision the paired shape of its leaves as an expression where art and design intersect, weaving new narratives.
Just as spores sprout in new soil and nurture life—we explore expressions that embrace a way of life unbound by origins or values.
Transcending traditional boundaries, we experiment with diverse materials and techniques to pursue new possibilities in jewelry.

LULI LAMPWORK

Glass bead jewelry by EETY studio, a design studio founded in Berlin in 2018.
Created entirely by hand by a single artisan and two designers, using traditional glass bead-making techniques that have remained unchanged since ancient times.
Viewing glass as a textile, the studio employs a simple method of “winding molten glass around a rod to form beads.” They twist and wind multiple colors of glass together like thread, expressing the resulting patterns as designs.
“LULI” (瑠璃) is an ancient Japanese word meaning colored glass or precious gemstones.
