6月27日(土)より、ジュエリーブランド GIFTED(ギフテッド)の個展をCIBONE(表参道)にて開催いたします。
ジュエリーブランドGIFTEDの15周年となるエキシビジョン、まず私たちは本展がこれまでに制作されたコレクションを総括的に振り返ることや、これまでのキャリアに対する賞賛を趣旨とした展示ではないと捉えています。
2011年の活動開始以来、一貫して独自の文法を磨き続けてきたGIFTEDは、その軌跡を踏まえ筆圧を強めながらも、意識的な逸脱を許容するフェーズとして本展に臨みます。ブランドアイコンとも言えるオリジナルチェーンの断面形状を変容させることにより生み出されたIMPLOSION SPUR CHAIN をはじめ、ダブルリングやサンダーボルトモチーフなど、本展で発表される新作群には、これまでの文法上にありながらも確かな変化の兆しが宿っています。
“ALTER SPUR”というタイトルが示すように、新たな方向へ大きく舵を切るような転換ではなく、長い時間をかけて培われた筆跡の内側から自然に現れた彼自身の小さな変化の痕跡。その変化を許容することにフォーカスした本展は、これから20周年へ向け歩みを加速しようとしているGIFTEDの起点とも言える展示になるでしょう。
目の前の、彼のジュエリーを身につける着用者との直接的な関係性に向き合い、そこから生まれる小さくも真実である生の体験を見極め、ブランドをより強固なものに圧縮するかのような実践の中で生まれた変化がどのように作品へと現れているのか。
彼の歩みの多くを共にしてきたCIBONEでこそ見えてくる、GIFTEDの示す15年目の現在地をご覧ください。

1983年生まれ。増﨑啓起によるジュエリーブランド。1999年より国内ジュエリーブランドの職人としてキャリアをスタートさせる。2001-05年専門学校ヒコ・みづのジュエリーカレッジにて故・中村隆一郎に師事、コンテンポラリージュエリーを学ぶ。同校を卒業後、国内外のギャラリーやミュージアムでの作家活動を経たのち2009年にオランダのヘリット・リートフェルト・アカデミーのジュエリー科へ入学、1ヶ月で中退。帰国後、2011年より自身とジュエリーの最初の接点であった90年代のシルバーアクセリームーブメントを背景に商業的な領域におけるジュエリーやファッションの文脈に回帰しGIFTEDを設立。数十年に渡って流通し続けるヴィンテージや民芸品としてのジュエリーにおける構造や様式を包括的に参照し、複数の異なる価値観を調和あるいは脱構築することにより現代における新たな普遍性を備えたジュエリーを追求している。

Starting Saturday, June 27, we will be hosting a solo exhibition by the jewelry brand GIFTED at CIBONE (Omotesando).
Although this exhibition marks the 15th anniversary of the jewelry brand GIFTED, we do not view it as a retrospective summarizing past collections or as a display intended to celebrate the brand’s career to date.
Since its inception in 2011, GIFTED has consistently refined its unique aesthetic. Building on this trajectory, the brand approaches this exhibition as a phase in which it intensifies its artistic expression while simultaneously embracing conscious deviations from the norm. From the IMPLOSION SPUR CHAIN—created by transforming the cross-sectional shape of the brand’s iconic original chain—to the double rings and lightning bolt motifs, the new works presented in this exhibition harbor clear signs of change, even as they remain within the framework of our established aesthetic.
As the title “ALTER SPUR” suggests, this is not a drastic shift toward a new direction, but rather traces of his own subtle changes that have naturally emerged from within the handwriting cultivated over a long period of time. Focused on embracing these changes, this exhibition will serve as a starting point for GIFTED as it prepares to accelerate its journey toward its 20th anniversary.
By confronting the direct relationship with the wearer of his jewelry right before his eyes, discerning the small yet authentic lived experiences that arise from that connection, and compressing the brand into something even more robust—how do the changes born from this practice manifest in his work?

- GIFTED
- Born in 1983. A jewelry brand by Keiki Masuzaki. He began his career in 1999 as a craftsman for a domestic jewelry brand. From 2001 to 2005, he studied contemporary jewelry under the late Ryuichiro Nakamura at Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry. After graduating, he worked as an artist at galleries and museums both in Japan and abroad before enrolling in the jewelry department at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in the Netherlands in 2009, though he withdrew after one month. Upon returning to Japan, he founded GIFTED in 2011, returning to the context of jewelry and fashion in the commercial sphere against the backdrop of the 1990s silver accessory movement—his first point of contact with jewelry. He comprehensively references the structures and styles of vintage and folk art jewelry that have remained in circulation for decades, pursuing jewelry with a new universality for the modern era by harmonizing or deconstructing multiple different values.
