古いモノに新たな価値を与えるアップサイクルカンパニー・YES(家's)のPOPUPを開催いたします。
長く使われてきた伝統的な家財品のくたびれた部分にアクリルを用いて新たな価値を与えるP/OPシリーズに加え、家財品の表面を燃焼させ、過去の痕跡や古びた塗料、汚れを取り除き、新しい表皮を纏わせるという新たな再生方法を試みた”metabolic”をお披露目いたします。

私たちは、日本の伝統的な家財を一度「解体」し、「再構築」することで、新たな視覚的・機能的な美を探求するデザインアプローチを実践しています。
このアプローチは、建築や哲学における「deconstruction」の考えに影響を受けており、構造や機能を解きほぐすことで本質を再評価し、あらためて新しい形として提示します。

箪笥に宿る“可動性”という日本的な特性を残しつつ、経年劣化した部分にアクリルを取り入れることで100年以上続く伝統家具、”箪笥”の再生を試みています。

「代謝」をテーマに、火を用いた“浄化”と“再生”の文化的慣習から着想を得ています。燃やすことで表層を削ぎ落とし、モノの本質をあらわにする実験的な取り組みです。

代表的なプロジェクトとして、箪笥の再生プロジェクト”P/OP”、燃やすことで再生を目指す”metabolic”、木彫りの熊をアートの力で再生したプロダクト”Re-Bear Project”がある。

We are pleased to announce a POPUP by YES (家’s), an upcycle company that gives new value to old objects.
In addition to the P/OP series, which breathes new life into timeworn traditional household items by incorporating acrylic into their worn parts, the brand will also unveil “metabolic”, a new approach to regeneration that involves burning the surface of household goods to remove traces of the past—such as aged paint and stains—before covering them with a fresh new layer.

We practice a design approach that explores new forms of visual and functional beauty by “deconstructing” and “reconstructing” traditional Japanese household furnishings.
Influenced by the concept of deconstruction in architecture and philosophy, this method reexamines the essence of objects by unraveling their structure and function, and then presenting them anew in a transformed form.

While preserving the uniquely Japanese characteristic of mobility inherent in the tansu chest, this series attempts to revive the century-old tradition of tansu furniture by incorporating acrylic into its timeworn parts.


-metabolic
Themed around “metabolism,” this experimental work draws inspiration from cultural practices of purification and regeneration through fire. By burning away the surface, it strips off aged layers and reveals the essence of the object beneath, offering a bold exploration of renewal.
