岐阜県で制作を行う木工作家 三輪 泰季の作品展を開催いたします。

細かく刃跡で木彫された作品からは、自然の成り行きによって形成されたその自然造形に、三輪自身の手が呼応するかのようにリズムよく、かつ機械的に意志が刻み込まれており、彼自身の手の行先に木が従い、作家本人の強い自己から生まれた作品であると感じます。
そして吸い込まれるような漆黒の焼きの作品は、木が炭化を重ねる中で、自然に生まれる割れや欠け、木の現象が形と成り、その生命力は尽きることなく、木の持つ時の流れを可視化します。

二つの異なる作品に共通することは、互いに呼応し合う人と植物との関係性、そして手を入れることによって成立する正しい共生の在り方を明示しているのでしょう。

木を愛し、その自然の持つ美しさに寄り添いながらも、自己表現を刻み込む、三輪の作品群をお楽しみください。

Taiki Miwa

We are pleased to introduce the works of wood artist Taiki Miwa, who creates in Gifu.

From pieces finely carved with traces of the blade, one can sense how Miwa’s hand rhythmically, almost mechanically, responds to the natural forms that arise by chance. It is as if the wood follows the path of his hand, and each work emerges from the strength of his own self.

In contrast, the deep black works, charred to the point of carbonization, reveal cracks, chips, and phenomena born naturally through the burning process. These shapes embody an inexhaustible vitality, making visible the flow of time inherent in the wood.

What unites these two distinct bodies of work is the relationship between human and plant—an interplay that reveals a vision of true coexistence, realized through the act of human intervention.

Loving wood and staying close to its natural beauty, while at the same time inscribing his own expression, Miwa’s works invite you to experience this dialogue.
