Piet Hein Eek is a designer who creates unique products by drawing on unconventional materials like scrap timber and industrial waste. He finalizes the concepts of his pieces by exploring the possibilities of many materials and techniques. This approach is completely different from typical contemporary methods, where the designer usually tries to produce something beautiful and flawless by streamlining the production process via the latest technology. Cibone currently stocks the Crisis collection, which Eek presented this April at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2015. Crisis includes tables, stools, and lighting equipment.
