イマジナリー・オーサーズ 《架空の小説家たち》 は調香界の鬼才ジョシュ・メイヤーが、アメリカのポートランドで2012 年にスタートしたインディーズブランド。ニッチフレグランス誕生の前夜、独学で生み出した巧みな素材選びと唯一無二の表現でフレグランス業界にセンセーションを巻き起こし、「芸術を探求する香り、 思考を挑発するアート」 というコンセプトから生まれるユニークなフレグランスを提案しています。

すべての香りにおいて動物由来の原料、人工保存料、フタル酸エステル類、サルフェート、着色料を使用せず、アレルギーテストも実施。動物実験を断固として禁止しながら愛護活動も行っており、製品が動物に害や死をもたらさないことをも保証しています。サステイナビリティの追求から生まれた製品は、スキニマリストもニュートラルに纏うことができます。

Imaginary Authors is an indie brand founded in 2012 by the genius perfumer Josh Meyer in Portland, USA. Before the rise of niche fragrances, Meyer, a self-taught perfumer, made waves in the fragrance industry with his masterful selection of materials and unique expressions. The brand offers distinctive fragrances born from the concept of “scents as an exploration of art, thought-provoking olfactory art.”

Each fragrance is accompanied by an intricately detailed “imaginary story” written by an “imaginary author.” Even the scent strips (mouillette) are thoughtfully designed to reflect these stories. Like a finely crafted novel, the fragrances evoke a transcendent experience beyond the ordinary, leading to a deeply personal and transformative fragrance journey.

Since its inception, the brand has been committed to environmental consciousness, ethically sourcing the highest-quality sustainable ingredients. The products are vegan and gluten-free, designed for a diverse range of people across gender, age, nationality, skin color, and religion.

None of the fragrances contain animal-derived ingredients, artificial preservatives, phthalates, sulfates, or colorants. All products are allergy-tested, and the brand is strongly opposed to animal testing. They also engage in animal welfare efforts, ensuring that no harm or death is caused to animals in the production of their products.
