石川県が誇る伝統工芸、山中漆器の高い技術を受け継ぐ、我戸幹男商店のPOP UPを開催いたします。

明治41年(1908年)にろくろの町、山中温泉にて我戸木工所として創業。木地師と呼ばれる轆轤を挽いて木地をつくる職人の手によって、一つひとつ、丁寧で完成度の高いものづくりを続けています。

山中の地域に伝わる「縦木取り」と呼ばれる特殊な木材の切り出し方によってつくられる漆器は、強度と精度を高め、また木目を生かしながら普遍的な美しさを追求するシルエットは、脈々と受け継がれてきた伝統と技術、そして現代の暮らしに寄り添うような新たな感性が積み重なることによって、長く愛される漆器を生み出しています。

実用性と和の美意識に基づき、高い芸術性を追求した漆器を、ぜひお手に取ってお楽しみください。

We will hold a POP UP of Mikio Gato Shoten, which inherits the high technology of Yamanaka lacquerware, a traditional craft that Ishikawa Prefecture is proud of.

Founded in 1908 as Gato Woodworks in Yamanaka Onsen, the town of potter's wheels. The company has continued to produce products with a high degree of perfection, one by one, by the hands of wheel-thrown craftsmen called “Kijishi” (woodworkers).

The silhouette of the lacquerware, which pursues universal beauty while enhancing the strength and precision of the wood grain, is the result of a combination of traditions and techniques passed down from generation to generation and a new sensibility that is in tune with modern life. The result is lacquerware that will be loved for a long time to come.

We hope you will take our lacquerware in your hands and enjoy the pursuit of high artistry based on practicality and Japanese aesthetics.
