現在CIBONE BROOKLYNにて開催されている、大阪 堺市にて作陶をする陶芸家 八田 亨のワールドツアーとともに発売された初めての作品集 Ceramics のローンチイベントを開催いたします。
毎月穴窯を焚き、作品作りに膨大な熱量をささげる彼の今の仕事が、撮りおろしの作品の写真と、彼の言葉によって、その熱が存分に感じられる作品集となっております。今回のために制作された100点を超える作品とともに、お楽しみください。
4月18日の18時より、八田 亨が在廊、ブックサイニングと作品の販売開始となります。ぜひお越しください。

1977 石川県金沢市生まれ
2000 大阪産業大学工学部環境デザイン科を卒業後、舞洲陶芸館研修生になり陶芸家を目 指す
2003 先代者から陶芸教室「喜楽歩」(大阪府堺市)を受け継ぐ
2004 一基目の穴窯「喜楽窯」築窯
2008 堺クラフトフェア「灯しびとの集い」の立ち上げメンバーとなる
2009 大阪、wadにて初個展
2015うつわ祥見onariNEAR(神奈川県鎌倉市)にて「村木雄児 八田亨 夏、三島展」
2016 大阪府富田林市に自宅兼工房を建築
2017 うつわ祥見KAMAKURAにて初個展。以後毎年8月に個展を開催
2018小器藝廊(台湾台北市)にて海外初個展
2019 灯しびとの集いの会長に就任する
CIBONE AOYAMA(東京・外苑前)にて個展
2020 桃居(東京都西麻布)にて初個展
2022 二基目の穴窯「くすのき窯」築窯
2025 一年半かけて世界ツアー（8カ国）スタート

CIBONE BROOKLYN is pleased to announce the launch event of Ceramics, the first book of works by Toru Hatta, a potter in Sakai City, Osaka, which is currently being held at CIBONE BROOKLYN, along with his world tour.
The book is a collection of his current work, in which he fires his anagama kiln every month and devotes an enormous amount of energy to the creation of his artwork. We hope you will enjoy it along with the more than 100 pieces of artwork created especially for this exhibition.
Toru Hatta will be present at the gallery on April 18 at 6:00 p.m. for book signing and sales of his works. Please come and visit us.

1977 Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture
2000 Graduated from Osaka Sangyo University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Environmental Design, and became a trainee at the Maishima Ceramic Art Museum.
Aiming to become a ceramic artist.
2003 Inherited the pottery school “Kirakuho” (Sakai City, Osaka) from his predecessor
2004 Built the first anagama “Kiraku Kiln”.
2008 Became a founding member of the Sakai Craft Fair “Toushibito no Tsudoi
2009 First solo exhibition in Osaka, wad
2015 “Yuji Muraki, Toru Hatta, Summer, Mishima Exhibition” at Utsuwa Shomi onariNEAR (Kamakura, Kanagawa)
2016 Built a home and studio in Tondabayashi, Osaka
2017 First solo exhibition at Utsuwa Shomi KAMAKURA. Solo exhibitions every August since then.
2018 First overseas solo exhibition at Kohki Art Gallery (Taipei, Taiwan)
2019 Becomes the chairman of the Lanterns' Gathering
Solo exhibition at CIBONE AOYAMA (Gaienmae, Tokyo)
2020 First solo exhibition at Momojyu (Nishiazabu, Tokyo)
2022 Builds second anagama, the Kusunoki Kiln
2025 Starts a one and a half year world tour (8 countries)
