多様な素材と技法で実験的なアプローチを試みる、Gleicheniaの展示を開催いたします。

水が描きだす柔らかな道ゆき。川面を彩る光の陰影。
ゆらめく肌理やかたち、指先で感じる凹凸。

今回の展示では、自然のふるまいに導かれるように、長きにわたる実験的なアプローチから生まれたジュエリーとオブジェを発表いたします。まるで光を掬いあげるように輝く新作の CAIRN オブジェやピアス、水をまとい水面とは異なる様相を帯びた独自のテクスチャが目を惹く IN WATER コレクション。
どれもひとつとして同じ象はなく、それぞれが異なる色や重なりと響き合いながら偶然と必然のあわいにたゆたっています。
素材に宿る記憶を映しだすGleicheniaの作品は、身につけ空間にしつらえることで、新たな風景を描きだしています。

かつて山や河で、人々が願いを込めて石を積み上げたように。
ふと手にしたかたちが、これまでの歩みをたどる道しるべとなり、これからの一歩をそっと照らすものとなりますように。

光の中に生まれるかたちを感じていただけたらうれしく思います。

- Gleichenia -: イギリスで彫刻を学んだ池ヶ谷香奈子と、空間デザインを学んだ池ヶ谷侑による東京を拠点に活動するコンテンポラリージュエリーユニット。
Gleichenia (グレイキニア) とは、シダ植物の一種である縁起物のウラジロの学名に由来します。
対になった葉のかたちを、アートとデザインの視点が重なる表現と捉え、新たな物語を紡いでいくことを想像しています。
胞子が新たな土地で芽吹き、生命を育むように、出自や価値観にとらわれない生き方に寄り添う表現を探求。
伝統的な枠を超え、多様な素材と技法で実験的なアプローチを試み、ジュエリーの新しい可能性を追求しています。

We are pleased to present an exhibition by Gleichenia, exploring experimental approaches through a rich variety of materials and techniques.
Gentle paths drawn by flowing water.
Shadows and light playing across the surface of a river.
Shimmering textures and forms—ripples and contours that speak to the fingertips.
This exhibition showcases jewelry and objects born from a long-standing experimental process, guided by the behavior of nature itself. Among the highlights are new CAIRN pieces—objects and earrings that seem to capture and hold light—and the IN WATER collection, featuring striking textures that evoke the essence of water while transforming its appearance.
Each piece is entirely unique. No two are alike, yet they all resonate with one another through layered hues and forms, drifting gracefully between chance and intention.
Gleichenia’s creations reflect the memories held within each material—when worn or placed within a space, they evoke entirely new landscapes.
Just as people once stacked stones in mountains and by rivers to hold their wishes,
may these forms—gathered in your hand—serve as markers of your past journey and softly illuminate the steps ahead.
We hope you will sense the forms born in the light.

- Gleichenia -: Gleichenia is a contemporary jewelry unit based in Tokyo, formed by Kanako Ikegaya, who studied sculpture in the UK, and Yu Ikegaya, who studied spatial design.
The name Gleichenia is derived from the scientific name of Urajiro, a type of fern traditionally considered an auspicious plant in Japan.
The paired shape of its leaves symbolizes the intersection of art and design—a metaphor for the way their perspectives converge to create new narratives.
Like spores taking root in new ground and nurturing life, they seek expressions that resonate with ways of living untethered from origin or convention.
Pushing beyond traditional frameworks, they explore the possibilities of jewelry through experimental approaches, using diverse materials and techniques.
