日本の茶筅の構造からインスピレーションを受け、廃棄されたペットボトルと各国で手に入る素材を材料に、その土地で培われた伝統的な技術や模様を組み合わせることで、つくられるランプ。
コロンビアのアマゾン川流域にて深刻な問題となっているペットボトルの廃棄による汚染問題をきっかけに生まれたこのプロジェクトは、大量消費から生まれた廃棄物が長く愛されるプロダクトに生まれ変わり、失われつつある土着的なクラフトの価値を再認識させてくれます。

今回はコロンビアの熱帯部と山岳部、そしてチリの3種の地域によって製作された作品を展示・販売致します。

Inspired by Japanese tea whisks, this lamp uses scrapped PET bottles and other materials available in the countries the designer visits. It also combines the traditional techniques and designs of each country. This project came about as a reaction to severe contamination problems in the Amazon River basin in Colombia, caused by the scrapping of PET bottles. Aiming to transform these products of mass consumption into long-lasting items that will be loved, this project enables us to appreciate the fading values of native craftsmanship once more. This time, Cibone will display and sell works produced in three regions: Chile, and Columbia’s tropical zone and mountain area.
