注いだ水の表面張力を利用することで、水そのものを花器のテクスチャとして取り込んだクリスタル製の一輪挿し。満ちた水に花の生命の躍動感が映し出され、花器と水、そして花が一体となって空間にハリを与えます。

素材の特性と異素材との関係性、そのモノの持つ背景やストーリーをふまえてシンプルだが奥行きのあるデザインを目指している、坂下和長によるデザインです。

Shallows

Shallows is a series of single-flower vases made of crystal glass. These vases draw on the surface tension of water in a way that makes the water itself look like part of the vases' texture. The filled water reflects the vibrancy of the flowers. The vase, water and flower becomes one, creating tension in the air.

Shallows is designed by Kazunaga Sakashita. He is a designer who creates something simple yet deep by considering the characteristics of different materials, their relationships, and the respective stories behind them.
