オランダのデザイナーPIET HEIN EEKが手がける黒を纏ったスクラップウッドシリーズを初公開いたします。
CIBONEがかかげるテーマ、「New Antiques, New Classics」

それは、私たちがこれまでも、これからも等しく、普遍的で永く愛されていくものを提案していきたい、そんな思いが込められたメッセージです。PIET HEIN EEKはそんなわたしたちの思いに共感し、20年もの間、共に歩んできた同志のような存在です。

時代の変化を恐れず、
誰かのスタイルを模倣することもなく、
流行という言葉で終わらせない。

そんなモノづくりを続けている彼の代表作であるこのスクラップウッドシリーズに、原点色と呼ばれることもある黒をテーマとし、今ここで発表することで改めて私たちなりの現代におけるモノとの付き合い方の意思表明になると思っています。

黒を纏った彼の作品に向き合うことで一層際立つ、その形や素材の美しさと合理性、そして作品一つ一つに込められた強度を通して、わたしたち、そしてPIET HEIN EEKが伝えたい、モノの本質を感じ取っていただきたいと思います。

CIBONE's theme, "New Antiques, New Classics," embodies our desire to propose objects that are universally cherished and timeless, both now and in the future. PIET HEIN EEK resonates with this sentiment and has been a companion in this journey for over 20 years.

Unafraid of the changes of the times, we do not imitate anyone's style, nor do we let our creations be confined by fleeting trends.

With his Scrapwood series, which represents his commitment to such craftsmanship, we have chosen to focus on the theme of black, also known as the color of origin. By presenting these works here and now, we aim to reaffirm our approach to engaging with objects in the modern context.

We hope that by confronting his pieces dressed in black, the beauty and functionality of their forms and materials, as well as the strength imbued in each work, will be further accentuated. Through this experience, we hope that you will grasp the essence of objects that both we and PIET HEIN EEK wish to convey.
