石川県金沢市で製作を行うガラス作家 西山芳浩の個展を開催いたします。

CIBONEと彼の作品との関係性は長く、気づけば10年にわたり多くの作品と出会ってきました。
なぜ、彼の作品にはここまで人の心をつなぎとめる理由があるのでしょうか。

ガラスという素材が恋しくなると、彼の作品を思い出し、自然とそのグラスを手に取ります。
彼は私たちが想像するよりもはるかに多くのガラスとの対話から、そのゆらぎを生み出してきました。
わたしたちはその透き通る光りの中に、ゆらぐ不規則な影を見ることでしょう。

それはいつまでもいつまでも見ていられたりもします。
時にはそのゆらぎを通して、世界の景色を覗いてみたりもします。

そして、それは当たり前のように私たちの日常に溶け込み、一杯の水を注ぐことが幸せだと感じるのです。

一見シンプルなグラスをとっても、彼の作品とはこれだけの接点があります。
いつまでも色あせることがない、透明なゆらぎに心を任せてみようと考え、また彼の作品に心惹かれるのです。

We are pleased to announce a solo exhibition by glass artist Yoshihiro Nishiyama, whose work is created in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture.

CIBONE has had a long-standing relationship with his work, spanning nearly 10 years and countless encounters with his pieces. What is it about his work that resonates so deeply with people?

When we yearn for the material of glass, we recall his creations and naturally reach for his glassware. He has crafted these subtle fluctuations through dialogues with glass that go far beyond what we can imagine. In the transparent light of his work, we perceive the flickering, irregular shadows.

This is something we could gaze at endlessly. Sometimes, through these fluctuations, we find ourselves peering into the landscapes of the world.

His work seamlessly blends into our daily lives, making the simple act of pouring a glass of water a source of happiness.

Even with a seemingly simple glass, there is a profound connection with his work.

It’s this timeless, transparent fluctuation that continues to captivate our hearts, drawing us back to his creations time and again.
